SOUTHEAST, N.Y. -- Is a 98-foot crane a permanent structure? The Southeast Zoning Board of Appeals hasn't decided yet.

At a June 19 work session, the board voted 3-3 on the issue, with member Roderick Cassidy absent. The vote was voided and will be postponed until next month.

Morrow Equipment is looking to have the board determine the issue to help them gain site plan approval from the planning board, according to The Putnam Examine r.

Vice Chairman Paul Vink said he believed the crane was a permanent structure while John McNeill said the crane was a piece of equipment, according to The Putnam Examiner.

The board will take up the issue again on July 17.
