Store Clerk Charged In Northern Westchester/Putnam Underage Detail

A store clerk was charged with selling alcohol to a minor in a state police detail Saturday that targeted eight Northern Westchester establishments and two in Mahopac.

An employee at the Mobil Mart on 102 Route 6 in Mahopac was charged with prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage to a person under 21 years old and issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to the Town of Carmel Court on Nov. 7.

State police in Somers conducted the detail in the towns of North Salem, Somers and Carmel. The following establishments were checked with no violations observed:

Uncorked Wine Store, 80 State Route 6, Somers

Stop & Shop, 80 State Route 6, Somers

Sunoco 55 State Route 6, Somers

Valben Heritage Market, 249 State Route 202

Kingsley Deli, 252 June Rd, North Salem

Swan Deli, 519 State Route 22, North Salem

Citgo Gas Station 105 Route 6, Mahopac
