Stormy Start To Workweek In Putnam, Flooding Possible

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Heavy rain and wind are making for a soggy start to the workweek in Putnam County and could cause minor flooding in coastal areas.

Showers will linger for most of the day on Monday with a high of 56 degrees. Chance of rain is 100 percent with wind gusts up to 30 mph. 

Showers will continue into the night with the possibility of thunderstorms. 

Sun will return on Tuesday afternoon with a high around 64 degrees. 

Rain will return on Wednesday with a high in the low 60s. Chance of rain is around 30 percent. 

Partly-to-mostly sunny skies will prevail through the rest of the week and into the weekend.
