Two-Car Crash With Fluid Spill Brings Route 6N Traffic To Complete Stop

A two-car crash on Route 6N in Mahopac brought traffic to a complete stop on Friday afternoon.

Traffic remained at a complete stop as the vehicles were loaded onto flatbeds and removed from the scene.

The crash, which occurred near Hill Street, resulted in a fluid spill, according to Jack Casey of the Mahopac Falls Fire Department.

The Mahopac Falls FD along with Mahopac Fire responded on a dual dispatch to assist police on the scene.

Drivers of the vehicles reported the Putnam County Sheriff's Department Deputy on the scene that they were not injured. Incident Command MFVFD Captain Dave Lapadula canceled the EMS response for the crew to standby at the firehouse.

Traffic remained stopped as the vehicles were loaded onto flatbeds and removed from the scene.
