Dwayne 'Dee' Creque, 52, Community Pillar In Both Poughkeepsie, Red Hook

Dwayne “Dee” Creque, 52, a longtime Poughkeepsie resident and community counselor, died on Wednesday, Nov. 22, from heart complications, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in Brooklyn, on Oct. 29, 1965, to Lewis Creque and Barbara Rock, Creque was a 25 year resident of Poughkeepsie and a dedicated direct counselor for 18 years for the Office of Family & Children Services in Highland, but spent his most recent years as an assistant training tech at the OCFS of Red Hook. 

Creque was also the president of his security company, Firstline Protective Services based in the Hudson Valley. 

He was known for dedicating himself to bettering men and women’s lives. He had a special wit and humor about him that was undeniably his own. He was a die-hard Knicks fan and lover of all New York sports teams. 

Creque is survived by his wife Tammy; son Jordan; stepson Jerome, and his two daughters Brianna Renee and Tyra Cheri.
