Hudson Valley Fire Leaves 24 Homeless, Injures 2
At least two residential buildings were destroyed during a two-alarm fire in the Hudson Valley that left 24 people homeless. The incident occurred in Orange County at 11:20 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at 59 and 61 Carter St., in the city of Newburgh. According to Mike Neppl, a spokesman for the Newburgh Fire Department, arriving units found the rear of 59 and 61 Carter Street fully involved with fire, which was spreading to the interior of the buildings. Police are investigating following the shooting of a Hudson Valley man who was found inside a laundromat. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, in Spring Valley. According to Det. Yakov Polowin of the Spring Valley Police officers responded to the area of Slinn Avenue for a report of shots fired. Detectives at work. Chimney Fire Prompts Emergency Response At Northern Westchester High School
Firefighters raced to a high school in Northern Westchester after receiving reports of a chimney fire. The incident happened on Monday morning, April 8, when crews from the Millwood Fire Department responded to a reported chimney fire at Fox Lane High School in Bedford.
