Beacon Man Draws Decades-Long Sentence For Rape

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A City of Beacon man will spend the next 23 years in state prison after being sentenced Monday in Dutchess County Court for a raping a woman in 2016, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office.

Ruben Felix, who committed the rape on Aug. 31, 2016, was also sentenced to 20 years of post-release supervision, said Allison Stuart, senior assistant district attorney for Dutchess County.

Stuart said Felix was found guilty of "engaging in intercourse while the victim was incapable to act or communicate unwillingness."
