The boy was charged with juvenile delinquency, with the underlying charge of criminal possession of stolen property, a Class E felony.
The boy removed a screen from a ground level window, opened the window and entered the home on Ellis Street, stealing the two laptops, valued at $2,000, Yorktown Police said. While investigating, police found him to be in possession of the two laptops.
He was released to a parent and is due back at the Westchester County Department of Probation on Sept. 12.
