KENT, N.Y. -- A Brewster woman was collared for driving under the influence at three times the legal limit Sunday during a traffic stop by Kent Police.
Jessica Kelvas, 27, was charged with felony DWI after she was stopped by Officers Steve Gasparrini and Brian Forde for a routine traffic violation, police said.
While talking with Kelvas officers determined that she was intoxicated and a computer check of her driver's license revealed she had a previous DWI in 2013. A blood alcohol content test showed that she was driving at .23 percent, almost three times the legal limit, police added.
Kelvas was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 1.
