Mahopac Falls Fire/Rescue, EMS and Fire Police responded along with multiple units from Carmel Police and EMStar paramedic to Secor Road and Sugarbush Court on a report of a one-car crash into a pole with possible extrication required, according to Jack Casey of the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.

Upon arrival, Incident Command Chief Jeff Boyle coordinated with Carmel Police as to what was needed for incoming apparatus placement, Casey said.

Fire Police began to slow traffic through the scene as medical personnel dealt with the driver, who was able to get out of the vehicle without assistance and was checked out by Medics and MFVFD EMT's. The driver refused medical attention/transport at the scene.

The police investigation continued as the tow truck operator arrived to remove the vehicle.
