New York State Police troopers were dispatched to a Sasso Lane residence in Dover at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Monday morning, following reports of shots fired.
During the subsequent investigation, police determined that Kenneth Ciralli had fired a Carbon Dioxide powered BB pistol inside and outside of his residence, intentionally striking several people, leaving one with minor injuries.
It was not immediately clear what caused Ciralli to fire the weapon inside and outside the residence.
Troopers arrested Ciralli and charged him with a felony count of criminal possession of a weapon. He was also charged with third-degree assault and reckless endangerment, both misdemeanors. Following arraignment, Ciralli was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or bond. He is due back in the Town of Dover Justice Court later this year to answer the charges.
