Hudson Valley Woman Charged With DWI After Crashing Into House, Police Say

A 46-year-old Westchester woman was drunk when she drove into an upstate house late Friday night, Warren County sheriff's deputies said.

Rye resident Holly Simmons was arrested and charged after the 10:40 p.m. one-car crash in the town of Horicon, located about 25 miles north of Lake George.

Simmons struck the home while attempting to make a U-turn on Chippewa Loop, police said. She then failed roadside sobriety tests and was arrested for aggravated DWI with a. blood-alcohol content of .19 percent.

Simmons posted bail and was released with an appearance ticket. She is due back in Horicon Town Court at a later date.
