KENT, N.Y. -- A Kent man was charged with harassment and unlawful imprisonment after getting into a dispute with a woman, according to the Kent Police Department.
Jeffrey Oakes, 47, was charged Saturday after he was accused of striking the woman in the head and holding her down, preventing her from leaving the area, Kent Police Officer Brian Forde said.
Oakes was arraigned in front of Kent Town Justice J. Peter Collins and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Nov. 14.
