KENT, N.Y. -- A Kent woman who was injured in a car accident faces drug charges after police found 28 alprazolam pills while investigating the wreck, according to the Kent Police Department.
Avery McCrae, 30, crashed her car around 2:15 p.m., Sunday at the intersection of Terry Hill Road and Lake Shore Drive, said Sgt. Alex VanderWoude.
When VanderWoude arrived at the scene, he found McCrae's vehicle resting on a large rock with McCrae hanging upside down in the passenger side of the car.
She had sustained lacerations to her face and was transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment. During the investigation, VanderWoude found the pills and charged McCrae with possession of a controlled substance, police said.
She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 7.
