Lakeland Student Charged After Cafeteria Fight

SHRUB OAK, N.Y. – A 14-year-old student at Lakeland High School was arrested and charged with third-degree-attempted-assault on Tuesday after a recent altercation inside the school cafeteria, according to the Yorktown Police Department.

At 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, police said the Jefferson Valley resident allegedly punched the victim repeatedly.

The student, whose name is being withheld due to his age, was issued a Juvenile Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to appear at the Department of Probation on Jan. 5.
