A large fuel spill Tuesday afternoon that may have come from a truck has closed one lane of Oscawana Lake Road while Putnam Valley firefighters work to contain the spill, according to Putnam Valley Fire officials.
The spill, located in front of Putnam Valley Library at 30 Oscawana Lake Road, is causing traffic to be detoured to Lake Peekskill Road going out of town, officials said.
Putnam County hazmat crews have been requested to clean up the "large" spill, which fire officials said most likely came from a large truck.
