Mahopac Woman, 19, Charged With Having Stolen Credit, Debit Cards

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown Police charged a 19-year-old Mahopac woman with nine counts of criminal possession of stolen property on Wednesday, Sept. 10, officials said.

Authorities received a call from a woman reporting the theft of her wallet while transporting a female motorist who claimed to be stranded on Hanover Street, police said. 

Investigation by police revealed Danielle J. Hartmann of Mahopac, was the alleged stranded motorist. Police found nine allegedly stolen credit and debit cards owned by the victim, police said. 

Hartmann was charged and remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Court on Tuesday, Sept. 16, police said.
