Man Charged With Assault Misses Yorktown Court Appearance

A man turned himself into Yorktown Police Tuesday after two bench warrants were issued when he failed to appear in court.

Joseph Franco, 40, of Greenwich, Conn., failed to appear in court on Aug. 31 after being charged with assault in the third degree and criminal contempt in the second degree, police said.

Franco was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on Sept. 7.
