Troopers from the Dover Plains barracks responded to the complaint in the early morning hours and observed Justin Sweda of Windsor, Conn., in the back seat of his vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment building with an 18-year-old female acquaintance, police said.

An investigation determined that Sweda had provided the teen with alcohol in the vehicle, according to police. Additionally, during a search of the vehicle marijuana was seized.

Sweda was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree and unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail and $15,000 bond.

Sweda also was issued a temporary order of protection restricting him from having contact with the teen.
