CARMEL, N.Y. -- A male suspect who allegedly tried to grab a woman along the Putnam Trailway in the vicinity of Crafts Road in the Town of Carmel is still at large three years later.

A female complained to police that a man on a bike, approximately 50 to 60 years old, circled around her several times before trying to grab her on July 1, 2014. She was allegedly able to fend him off before fleeing on foot, according to the Putnam County Sherriff's Department.

The man is described as 5-foot-9 weighing approximately 220 pounds. He was wearing a black and gray bicycle helmet, green shirt, khaki shorts, white socks and sandals along with a black brace on his right ankle at the time of the incident, officials said.

Anyone having information as to the identity of this individual is asked to call the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation at (845) 225-8060.
