One Injured In Two-Car Mahopac Crash

MAHOPAC, N.Y. --  One person was injured in a two-car crash in Mahopac Wednesday near the intersection of Secor Road and Agor Lane, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.

Firefighters and police first believed one driver was trapped and called for extrication equipment, but once on scene, they were able to remove both drivers, fire officials said.

One driver was transported by Mahopac Falls EMS to a local hospital for their injuries. 

The department was assisted at the scene by Fire Police, along with EMStar paramedics and Putnam County Sheriff's deputies.

First Assistant Chief Brian Sacher assumed the role of incident commander and Second Assistant Chief Bob Trace took charge of operations. All were able to return to service within an hour.
