Philipstown Man Accused Of Menacing Woman With Knife

PHILIPSTOWN, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged a Philipstown man with menacing, after he was accused of threatening a woman with a knife on Thursday, Oct. 16, officials said.

Thomas Scolpini, 39, was accused of threatening the woman at knife-point, putting her in fear for her life. Scolpini had fled the residence by the time troopers arrived, police said. 

Scolpini was found a brief time later and taken into custody. He was charged with menacing and reckless endangerment, both misdemeanors.  He was released on his own recognizance, police said.
