Two men facing criminal charges in Yorktown are accused of possessing oxycodone and heroin.
According to Yorktown police, James L. Davis, 22, of Brewster and Michael Olsen, 32, of Boonton, New Jersey, were arrested about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, near a Lee Road gas station.
Officers were conducting surveillance at the gas station when they saw "drug activity" inside a car, police said.
After pulling the car over and conducting a brief investigation, officers found Olsen in possession of oxycodone and Davis in possession of heroin, authorities said, adding that "a quantity" of each drug was found and seized.
Olsen also is alleged to have provided officers with a fake name, police said, adding that he did so despite warnings about the possible repercussions.
Olsen and Davis were arrested at the scene and taken to Yorktown police headquarters, police said. Both men face a misdemeanor count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Olsen additionally faces a misdemeanor charge of false personation, police said.
Olsen was held pending arraignment and will answer to the charges at a later date, police said. Davis was released after posting $100 cash bail. He is to appear in Yorktown Town Court at 6 p.m. on March 7.
