Police: Man Left Unregistered Handgun In Safe Deposit Box At Carmel Bank

A Mahopac man was arrested on Monday, April 21, for having an unregistered handgun in a safe deposit box, said Carmel Police Chief Mike Cazzari.

Andrew Campbell, 74, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after the gun was found in a safety deposit box at a bank that had closed, Cazzari said.

He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.
