PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- A man wanted for a 2015 Southeast jewelry theft was nabbed by New York State Police on Thursday.
Derek Maurice, 35, has been wanted for failing to appear in court on charges of falsifying business records and criminal possession of stolen property, said the New York State Police.
He was arrested in September 2015 for a burglary and jewelry theft in March of 2015, state police said.
When arrested, he was in possession of the stolen jewels.
A warrant was issued for Maurice in April. He was captured after his photos and details of his crime were posted on Facebook by State Police.
