Putnam Man, Woman Charged With Heroin Possession

KENT, N.Y. -- Kent police charged two Putnam Valley residents with heroin possession after making a routine stop to investigate a parked car on Waywayanda Court, according to the Kent Police Department.

Richard Wulfhop, 31,  and Brenda Jordan, 48, were busted when the officer stopped to find out why they were parked in a dark car and discovered heroin, hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia, police said.

A female matron, who searched Jordan at police headquarters, also found a baggie of cocaine in her sock, police said.

Jordan was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance; Wulfhop was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Both are scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 7.
