CARMEL, N.Y. -- Members of the Putnam County Sheriff's Department Honor Guard attended the funeral of Charleston County Deputy Sheriff Joseph Matuskovic, a 1990 graduate of Carmel High School who was killed in the line of duty in Charleston, S.C., on Sept. 9, officials said.
