Members of the Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps. and Cortlandt-Peekskill Regional Paramedics and Peekskill Fire Department were dispatched to Welcher Avenue at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 25, where there was a report of a rollover crash.
Upon arrival at the scene, first responders found a car on its roof, prompting a 45-minute of the roadway to allow crews to clean up the scene. Minor injuries were reported and a driver was treated for minor injuries.
Several hours later, at approximately 9:35 p.m., first responders were again put into action, when there was a report of a vehicle that had struck a utility pole on Lockwood Drive, destroying the front end of the SUV and nearly sending the pole toppling. The driver was treated for minor injuries after getting an assist from local paramedics and the Peekskill Police Department.
In between the two crashes, members of the Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance also responded to a third minor crash with no reported injuries. All paramedic units and crews were back in service approximately 40 minutes after the investigation into the third crash was reported.
