Fire crews were dispatched to a Springvale Road home at approximately 10:30 a.m. following reports of a structure fire.

Multiple ladder trucks and hoses responded to the structure, which had smoke billowing from the rear of the building. Firefighters could be spotted in front and on top of the building as they attempted to contain the blaze.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear, though it reportedly started on the first floor of a garden-style apartment building and spread to the second floor and through the roof. No injuries were initially reported. Keep following Daily Voice for updates.
