KENT, N.Y. -- Two men were arrested in Kent after police found them to be in possession of heroin late last month.
Christian Breslin, 37, and Douglas McLaughlin, 52, both residents of Newburgh, were arrested following a traffic stop on March 28 and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument.
An officer stopped their vehicle on Richardsville Road for a traffic violation. While the officer was interviewing McLaughlin, he noticed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Further investigation led to the discovery of heroin and hypodermic needles.
The two were remanded on $1,000 cash/$2,000 bond and are due back in court on April 25.
