Jessica Woelfle, 32, was recently arrested after Officer Jason Knapp responded to a report of a car crash on Farmers Mills Road in the area of Whitepond Road and found Woelfle standing on the side of the road with a child, said Kent Police Chief Alex DiVernieri.

Woelfle told the officer she lost control of her vehicle around a sharp curve and crashed into a ditch. An investigation by the officer determined that she was intoxicated and she was arrested for felony DWI because she had her 9-year-old daughter in the car while she was drunk, police said.

She was also charged with aggravated DWI after blood alcohol test revealed she was driving at almost three times the legal limit at .22 percent, police said.

She was released on her own recognizance. Her child was released to a third party. She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
