Yorktown Police Introduce Newest Officer

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Yorktown Police Department is about to have a new four legged friend join the force.

Ditto, a two-year-old black lab is being trained in North Carolina. Her partner will be Officer Thomas Breyer, who will be joining for her training.

Ditto is a single purpose narcotic detection K9, and was donated by Yorktown Against Heroin. Chief Robert Noble said 

"On behalf of the Yorktown Police Department, I cannot thank Yorktown Against Heroin enough for allowing us to become more aggressive in our ongoing fight against drugs in our community," Chief Robert Noble said.  We are beyond proud to now have this program back. To all the drug dealers who choose to push their poison on residents of Yorktown, we've raised our game and will do our best to lock you up soon."
