Yorktown Woman Assaults Man With Golf Club, Steak Knife, Police Say

A 59-year-old Northern Westchester woman was arrested and charged Saturday night after police say she assaulted and threatened a man with various objects.

Nuala Ann O'Connor of Yorktown was charged with assault in the second degree, a Class D felony, and menacing in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor. Connor assaulted the victim by striking him with a closed fist, golf club, and metal guitar stand, causing bruising and swelling on his face and body, police said. O'Connor also poked him with a steak knife, according to police.

O'Connor was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters for processing. She was released on her own recognizance and a temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim. She is due back in court on Jan. 9 at 6 p.m.
