Absentee Ballots Give Merandy Second Term As Cold Spring Mayor

COLD SPRING, N.Y. -- All the votes have finally been counted and David Merandy is still Mayor of Cold Spring.

Absentee ballots tallied Tuesday at the Putnam County Board of Elections in Carmel gave Merandy a 23-vote lead over challenger Allison Anthonie, 390 votes to 367 votes.

Before absentee votes were counted Merandy led 369 votes to 347 votes.

Merandy was running for a second term, having been first elected in 2015.
