Board Of Elections May Take Over Polling In Cold Spring

COLD SPRING, N.Y. -- During a recent meeting, the Putnam County Board of Elections discussed taking control of local elections in Cold Spring, according to theexaminernews.com.

The village is considering the move to reduce the workload on the village clerk and as a potential way to cut costs, theexaminernews.com said. 

Moving responsibility to the county would likely result in Cold Spring having to move its elections to November to better align with the county calendar. The village currently holds elections in March, theexaminernews.com reported.
