Cold Spring Mayoral Race Hinges On Absentee Ballots

COLD SPRING, N.Y. -- Despite a comfortable lead, no one is quite ready to declare victory in the race for Mayor of Cold Spring.

Incumbent David Merandy leads Alison Anthoine by 22 votes, 369 votes to 347 votes. Forty absentee ballots need to be counted and another 20 absentee ballots are outstanding.

The Putnam County Board of Elections will count the absentee ballots on March 28 at 3 p.m. Merandy is running for a second term.
