Archdiocese Of NY Announces Touring Tuesday In Putnam

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Elementary schools throughout the Archdiocese of New York will be kicking off the 2014-15 student recruiting initiative, Touring Tuesdays, from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18.

These universal open houses are designed to introduce new families to the lifelong benefits and value of a Catholic education.

“There’s no better way to see how our excellent schools educate the whole child than by experiencing our safe, nurturing environment firsthand,” said Timothy J. McNiff, superintendent of schools for the Archdiocese of New York. “Touring Tuesdays provide a wonderful opportunity to see the archdiocese’s character-focused curriculum up close and in person. We welcome families throughout the region to take part.”

Touring Tuesday open houses will be held at:

  • St. James the Apostle School, 12 Gleneida Ave., Carmel.
  • St. Lawrence O'Toole Early Childhood Learning Center, 11 Eastview Ave., Brewster.
  • Corpus Christi - Holy Rosary School, 135 S. Regent St., Port Chester.
  • Holy Name of Jesus School, 70 Petersville Road, New Rochelle
  • Immaculate Conception School, 53 Winterhill Road, Tuckahoe.
  • Immaculate Heart of Mary School, 201 Boulevard, Scarsdale.
  • Iona Prep Lower School, 173 Stratton Road, New Rochelle.
  • John Cardinal O'Connor-School Spec. Ed, 16 North Broadway, Irvington.
  • Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, 59 East Main St., Elmsford.
  • Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, 575 Fowler Ave., Pelham Manor.
