Carmel High School Students Inducted Into Business Honor Society

CARMEL, N.Y. -- The Carmel High School Career & Technical Education (Business Education) Department inducted 18 students at its annual induction ceremony for the Business Honor Society.

To be selected, students must be in their senior year of high school and have completed at least four business education classes (including at least one college credit course). Students also must have at least an 88 grade average in those business education courses and an overall grade average of 85 or greater. 

The students inducted the Business Honor Society are: Madeline Aquirre-Portillo, Korev Benewav, Michelle Boccia, Emily Boria, Breanna Hennessy, Dean Hicinbothem, Meredith Jennings, Nicolette Livulni, Kaitlin Maguire, Dominick Milazzo, Danielle Moccio, Shane Connell, Kimberly Rama, Karen Ram, Cody Ryder, Catherine Seale, Sarah Stec and Emily Zahran. 

The students have taken various business education classes such as College Business Law, College Business Economics, College Accounting, College Management, College Sportsand Entertainment Marketing, Math and Financial Applications, Video Game and Web Page Design, Business Computer Applications/Microsoft Office Suite and Career and Financial Strategies.

Carmel High School Career and Technical Education Department faculty include department chairperson Mary Odell and teachers Dave Salvo, Chris Conway and Nancy Cornell.
