Carmel High School Students Named AP Scholars

CARMEL, N.Y. -- Seventy-six students from Carmel High School have been named as Advance Placement Scholars by the College Board.

This honor is in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement Program Exams.

Scholar level is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams

Forty-nine students achieved scholar level: Tyler Alfonzetti, Justin Ali, Alexander Andalia, Jenna Annunziato, Gabrielle Avellaneda, Jamie Barone, Ashley Blake, Jessica Blank, Gabrielle Bohrman, Ciara Breslin, Emily Brill, Joseph Burns, Timothy Earl, Chelsea Friedman, James Gilchrist, Kerry Glendon, Christina Gregis, Emily Hitscher, Steven Jeltsch, Hisham Khan, Blake Kupetsky, Efosi Litombe, Rose Loprinzo, Cathryn Lovett, Jamie Manecky, Melissa Martin, Jessica Matessino, Katherine McCormack, Clare McNerney, Laure Medina, Mannion O’Connor, Kelsie O’Flanagan, Amanda Opromolla, Ericka Paparella, Helena Paron, Katherine Ramirez, Joseph Ross, Katherine Sabrsula, Carly Salloway, Samantha Schneider, Zachary Schroeder, Cyd Scott, Nicholas Servider, Lauren Shea, William Silke, Caterina Sorrento, Tyler Spohr, Sean Tierney, Alexandra Train AP scholar with honor is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

AP scholar with distinction is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams

Fourteen students achieved scholars with distinction: Dylan Aviles, Nicholas D’Apice, Allison DiGregorio, Justin Dorazio, William Gasperi, Kate Gordon, Anthony Haas, Mariah Kenna, Mykola Kusyy, Joseph Malinowski, Andrew Miller, Spencer Rubin, David Seiden-Plaut, Jacob Sweet.

National AP scholar is granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams'
