The Carmel High School FIRST Robotics FRC team 5943 “The Bad News Gears” along with the Ossining FRC Team 4122 “The O-Bots” demoed its FRC robots from competition and talked to the community about FIRST Competition, engineering, robots and how FIRST is more than robots.

There are many ways schools and educators are getting more creative with their pedagogy integrating the experience of FIRST.

“The name of the event, FRC (First Robotics Competition), just grazes the surface of what the event really is," Carmel High School student Jared Ortega said. "It’s more than building robots. FRC is about learning. It’s about teamwork. It’s about determination. It’s about grit. It’s about inspiring. It’s about believing in yourself and others. FRC is what you make it.”
