The modern "wall" provides a vibrant backdrop to a production where actors will wear turn-of-the-century period costumes and hairstyles to reflect the period.

LED scenic and lighting designer, Joe Beahm, talked about the technology.

"We're seeing a huge shift in the live entertainment industry as creative video solutions are exponentially increasing in both quality and availability. In this particular production, video is being utilized as a backdrop to captivate the audience and help immerse them into the 1890's."

The video adds a "particular dimension" a standard backdrop cannot, he added.

"Be prepared to really feel like you are right there in New York City immersed in the story of Hello Dolly," said Beahm.

The stage crew is managing all of the transitions, with scenes including a store in Yonkers, New York City street, the inside of an elegant restaurant, among others.

Performances are Thursday and Friday, April 7 and 8 at 7:30; Sunday, April 9 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $12.
