To the Editor:

Here we go again, yet another example of the PVCSD not being transparent with the taxpayer. I specifically reached out to the superintendent of schools to inquire the recent Board of Education meeting and how the public could view it.

The meeting was a review of the preliminary budget and important information regarding the state aid, which relieves the tax burden of the taxpayers. I was assured that this informational BOE meeting regarding the 2016-2017 budget would stream live on TV for the community to view and understand.

The meeting is not televised and is actually streaming live on the school's website here. There was no public notification under the Open Meeting Laws that this meeting or any other meetings would be streamed live off the school district's website, leaving the community in the dark.
