CARMEL, N.Y. -- A Mahopac woman, who was driving at twice the legal limit,  was charged with DWI after being involved in a traffic crash on Thursday, Feb. 2 in Carmel, police said.

Jasmine Schwab, 26, was charged after she was involved in a crash around 1:30 a.m. on Lovell Street in Carmel, said Lt. John Dearman.

When officers arrived on scene they could tell that Schwab was intoxicated and a blood alcohol test was given in which she scored over 0.18 percent, police said.

She was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI and released on her own recognizance.
