It is school budget season in Putnam.

Voters throughout the county will head to the polls Tuesday to vote on whether to approve school budgets and elect trustees to the school board. Several school districts have propositions on the ballot.

In Brewster, the $95.4 million budget increases spending by 2.88 percent and increases the tax levy by 2 percent. Voters will also be deciding whether to spend $750,000 on bus purchases.

In Haldane, the $23.5 million budget increases spending by 1.82 percent and increases the tax levy by 2.22 percent. Voters will also decide whether to borrow $150,000 for vehicle purchases and  $100,000 for gym and library renovations.
