Kids And Senior Lunch At C.V. Starr Elementary

BREWSTER, N.Y. -- The C.V. Starr Intermediate School hosted an annual luncheon for local seniors recently.

Over 50 local residents belonging to the Southeast Senior Citizens were in attendance.

The event was sponsored by the Brewster School District in conjunction with the Brewster Teachers Association, and included a musical performance from some of the school's students.

C.V. Starr Principal Robin Young described the event as “one of the highlights of the school year.”

“The seniors enjoy the friendship of mingling with the children and staff, while our entire school family loves welcoming the many grandmas and grandpas to C.V. Starr," she said.

“Each year more and more seniors from Brewster, Southeast and Putnam Lake attend this wonderful event,” Offerman said. “My members look forward to the luncheons with their extended family each year," said June Offerman, President of the Southeast Senior Citizens.
