Tinted Windows Stop Leads To Drug Charges For Mahopac Woman, 22

MAHOPAC, N.Y. --  A Mahopac woman who had darkly tinted windows on her vehicle ended up behind bars on Monday after New York State police found drugs during a search.

Whitney J. Fazio, age 22, was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, following a traffic stop in which troopers smelled marijuana inside the car, state police said.

During a search of the vehicle, troopers found 38 grams of hydrocodone pills, over 15 grams of marijuana, and more than one gram of marijuana wax, state police said.

Fazio is being held at the Broome County Jail without bail. Her next court date is pending.
