Carmel Football Player Commits To Western Connecticut

CARMEL, N.Y. -- Ryan Sahle, a senior at Carmel High School, is going to be a college football player.

Sahl signed a letter of intent Wednesday to play for Western Connecticut State University with his family, Athletic Director Susan Dullea and Coach Todd Cayea by his side.

“Ryan is a dedicated student athlete. We are happy to see him continue his career playing football," Cayea said.  "He will be a great addition to the Western Connecticut football team. " 

Sahle is a three-year varsity starter and received All-Conference for the Offensive Line. Sahle is a High Honor Roll student and a member of the National Honor Society. Sahle is also very involved in the Carmel Music Department and is a member of concert choir, Bella Voce, and CHS Singers. 

Sahle has performed in the school's musical performances of "Legally Blonde," "Into the Woods," "Wizard of Oz," and "Once Upon a Mattress." past performances include, Legally Blonde, (Harvard Student), Into the Woods (Cinderella’s Father), 

At Western Connecticut, Sahle plans to major in secondary education/history with a minor in music.
