Junior quarterback Jack Howe and running back Charlie McPhee were offensive standouts for the Panthers. McPhee gained 115 yards on 22 carries, including the game's final touchdown. Howe had the other three Pleasantville touchdowns.
Cornerback James Daniele and Danny Melillo, defensive end Jack Minerva and linebackers Nolan Egan and Nicholas Salzarulo excelled on defense for the Panthers, who led 14-7 at halftime.
Coach Tony Beccera's Panthers had defeated Glens Falls, 20-7, in Middletown in the semifinals.
Pleasantville is the lone state champ this year from Section 1, which is made up of schools from Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Rockland. Yorktown fell Friday in the Class A final, losing to Section 6 champion West Seneca 14-6 at the Carrier Dome.
