Putnam Will Be Well-Represented At Boston Marathon

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Dozens of Putnam residents will be participating in the 119th Boston Marathon on Monday.

The 26-mile event, managed by the Boston Athletic Association, is always held on Patriots' Day.

More than 500,000 spectators are expected.

The first starting time is at 8:50 a.m., with starting times up to 11:25 a.m. (Wave Four).

It will be the second time the event is being run since the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15, 2013 resulted in the deaths of three people and injuries to 264 others.
