Police Officer Shot In Hudson Valley, Two Suspects In Custody A female police officer in Westchester was shot in the face Monday night, according to multiple published reports. The officer, who was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, is expected to survive, according to the Daily News. The Yonkers officer was conducting a vehicle stop with her partner near Park Hill Avenue and Rumey Road at around 8:15 p.m. when she was shot at least once, according to CBS News. Photos: Black Bear Spotted On Goffle Road In Hawthorne HAWTHORNE, N.J. – A black bear was spotted in a tree on Goffle Hill Road in Hawthorne Monday afternoon. Hawthorne Police and a representative of Tyco Animal Control Services responded and found the bear in the tree eating. They decided the bear was not an immediate threat to anyone and asked the residents of the home where the bear was camped out to stay inside.
